Harry Ramsden’s is poised for aggressive expansion after SSP sold the 35-strong chain to Ranjit Boparan.
The entrepreneur, who rescued four FishWorks restaurants from administration a year ago, plans to open a further 100 fish and chip shops over the next five years.
V8 Gourmet, meanwhile, has unveiled plans to open eight Bombay Bicycle delivery outlets in London by the end of March.
