Dylan Harvey Residental boss robbed at knifepoint

The boss of collapsed property company Dylan Harvey Residential has been robbed at knifepoint in front of his family at his £1.5m Lancashire home.

Toby Whittaker was assaulted and his family threatened when six men burst into their home, in Read near Blackburn, last Thursday night. The gang fled with jewellery in Whittaker’s £60,000 Audi 4×4.

Police said they will examine whether former business associates or creditors may be behind the raid.

DHR went into administration last year owing creditors £6.5m. Last September, the firm’s administrator, CLB Coopers, said that around 600 investors were unlikely to get any money back. The firm had £23.65 in its bank account when administrators were appointed.

Whittaker’s business associates include Liverpool and England footballer Steven Gerrard, who invested £500,000 on three penthouse apartments at Liverpool’s waterfront.

Manchester United footballer Ryan Giggs had also put down £20,000 on a flat at Clippers Quay in Salford, Greater Manchester.
