Gym group David Lloyd Leisure has invested £11m in a new club in Exeter, Devon, bringing their total of clubs across Europe to 89.
Building is scheduled to start in March and the club will be open to the public by the end of 2010.
The Exeter club will comprise 60,650 sq ft and will include three indoor tennis courts, five outdoor tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools
Paul Guyer, property director at David Lloyd Leisure, said: “This is an exciting time, as the opening of the Exeter club will be David Lloyd Leisure’s first in almost three years and marks the beginning of our next stage of growth.
“The club will be a great new facility for Exeter, and its location next to Exeter Chiefs rugby club will strengthen the area.”
