2.2% of government office space vacant

The Office of Government Commerce (OGC) has reported that just 2.2% of office space occupied by government is vacant.

The average work space occupied by employees dropped 10 per cent in a year.

The government has reduced the cost of running its offices and other buildings by 17 per cent since 2003. This was a saving equivalent to £740m, the OGC said.
