The Fridge brought in from the cold

  The lease of The Fridge nightclub in Brixton, SW2, has been assigned to local club operator Kingdom Entertainment Group.   Offers of around £250,000 were sought.   The Fridge went into receivership on 18 March 2010 following a default on loans by the previous leaseholder.   Stephen Katz, partner at David Rubin & Partners, said: “We are very pleased to have been able to preserve this iconic London nightclub. Since the receivership, two pre-booked events have taken place, between them amounting to over 1,100 pre-sold tickets.    “We would also like to acknowledge the role of Lambeth Council in assisting with the swift transfer of operating licences at short notice to ensure that the events took place and that ticket holders were not disappointed.”   Christie + Co advised David Rubin & Partners.   annabel.dixon@estatesgazette.com
