Cheeky Gilly finds first UK stores

  US-based lingerie brand Gilly Hicks, labelled “the cheeky cousin of Abercrombie & Fitch”, is close to making its UK debut.   The retailer is in advanced talks to take shops of around 5,000 sq ft in Westfield’s flagship mall in White City, W12, and Lend Lease’s Bluewater in Kent.   A source said: “Subject to how well the first shops do, it will open more in 2011 and 2012 in the best covered shopping centres.   Westfield London and Bluewater are two of the best in Europe, where sister brand Hollister is already trading, so it seems logical to put Gilly Hicks there too.”   NB Real Estate advises Gilly Hicks.   annabel.dixon@estatesgazette.com
