The Crown Estate has completed on buying Oxford’s Westgate Centre from Liberty International’s Capital Shopping Centres for £56m.
The acquisition of the 320,000 sq ft shopping centre forms part of its strategy to reduce its central London weighting by making regional investments.
The Crown Estate has formed a 50-50 joint venture at the Oxford shopping centre with Land Securities, which paid the Crown Estate £28m for its half share in the complex.
