Damian Aspinall’s Aspers Group has submitted a bid to build the UK’s first “large casino” at Westfield’s Stratford City in Newham, east London.
Subject to winning the licence, Aspers said it would develop an “upmarket and exciting but widely accessible and popular casino and entertainment complex” at the mall.
It will include restaurants, bars, live entertainment and a range of gaming options.
A winner is expected to be announced on 23 December.
