Xile Clothing opens store in Glasgow’s St Enoch Centre

Independent fashion store, Xile Clothing, has opened a store in Ivanhoe Cambridge’s St Enoch shopping centre in Glasgow.

The new 2,300 sq ft shop stocks a selection of denim, fashion, sportswear and lifestyle clothing and the list of cutting-edge brands which have been confirmed so far include Diesel, Barbour, Replay, Prps, Luke and Liam Gallagher’s hotly tipped new label Pretty Green.

It is part of the second wave of new shops to open at St Enoch since the centre’s redevelopment. It joins other clothing retailers, including Pulp, Quiz, Henleys and H&M.

Xile Clothing also has four multi-brand boutiques in Edinburgh and three G-Star concept stores.

A spokesman for Emporl Apparel, which owns Xile Clothing, said: “Our two Glasgow G-Star stores have seen a fantastic response from the city’s shoppers with massive footfall and record sales.  This highlight’s Glasgow’s position as one of the UK’s premier retail destinations and has been a key factor in our decision to launch the first ever West Coast Xile Clothing outlet in St. Enoch Centre.”

Susan Nicol, general manager of St. Enoch Centre, said: “We are delighted to welcome the flagship Glasgow branch of Xile Clothing to St. Enoch and we are sure this popular store will be a huge success with our shoppers.”

“The transformation of St. Enoch has introduced a wide range of top brand names and retailers to the Centre and the arrival of Xile is a great addition to our fashion offering.”
