RBS sells Hilton Leicester for £16m

Royal Bank of Scotland has sold the Hilton Leicester hotel for around £16m.

The bank has sold the four-star hotel’s long leasehold to a company, which is understood to be controlled by investor Gulshan Bhatia.

Bhatia owns a raft of hotels including the Waldorf Hilton on Aldwych, London WC2.

CB Richard Ellis Hotels, which advised RBS, said: “This investment opportunity occupies a strategic location close to the M1 motorway, provides attractive growth prospects and is advantaged by its performance based rent.”
