London & Regional Properties and Starwood Capital have bought the Cumberland Hotel, in Marble Arch, Central London, from Royal Bank of Scotland.
The buyers paid an estimated £215m for the 1,000-room property.
Guoman Hotels will continue to run the establishment. CBRE Hotels acted for the vendor.
