Knox to fill Grosvenor chair
Grosvenor has appointed Lesley Knox to succeed David Home as non-executive chairman. Knox, chairman of Alliance Trust and senior non-executive director of Hays, will join the board on 9 September and become chairman on 1 January 2011. She has been a trustee of the Grosvenor Estate since 2005 and was appointed chairman of Grosvenor’s Audit Committee in 2008.
DJD fills former City HQ
Drivers Jonas Deloitte is close to offloading all of its former City HQ at 85 King William Street, EC4. Law firm Gates and Partners, advised by GVA Grimley, has taken 14,140 sq ft on the fifth floor while Daiwa Capital is due to exchange on 14,000 sq ft on the second floor of the building.
Sleeperz scores third hotel
Budget hotel chain Sleeperz is to develop its third hotel on Network Rail land. It will build a 98-bedroom property in Newcastle upon Tyne. Private equity group Connection Capital has provided £1.2m to enable the development of the £7m hotel.
