The head of Pinsent Masons’ property department in Leeds has been appointed to take over the entire
Mark Owen, who became a partner in 1998 and head of the property department in 2004, will replace Nigel McClea, who is retiring in October.
Owen specialises in commercial property work, with particular emphasis on property development/regeneration for both the public and private sectors.
He has advised on some of the highest–profile schemes in the region, including the £300m Trinity Quarter scheme and the proposed £900m Harewood Quarter scheme.

Commenting on McClea’s retirement, Ryan said: “We are very grateful for the significant contribution Nigel has made to the firm over such a distinguished career.”
McClea will remain with the firm as a consultant.
