Forsters hires banking expert to commercial property practice

Forsters has strengthened its commercial real estate practice with the appointment of banking expert Robin Cole as a consultant.

Cole, who for the last nine years has been running his own practice in Mayfair and was previously a partner at Hammonds and Richards Butler, has extensive commercial property experience, acting for a variety of funds, developers and investors and has particular expertise in advising overseas investors.

He has been instrumental in Forsters’ appointment to the panel for commercial real estate work for a new £100m fund launched by Mayfair Capital in August and backed by Schroders.

His appointment follows the recent recruitment of five new lawyers to its property team.

Forsters head of commercial real estate Howard Gill said: “We are delighted that Robin has joined Forsters and pleased that we are able to continue the expansion of the group.

“Robin’s appointment highlights our commitment to investing in our real estate practice so that it is well positioned to capitalise on the opportunities arising in the market,” he said.

Cole commented: “Joining Forsters was an unmissible opportunity to be part of an ambitious, expanding firm with property at its heart.”
