An Arup report on behalf of The Mersey Partnership has identified that Cammell Laird has the potential to become a new multimillion pound supply chain hub for the offshore wind industry at the 120 acre site in Birkenhead.
The shipyard plans to offer construction space and 24-hour access for servicing turbines. Peel Ports says it believes the region has great potential to provide such a hub.
