Thomas Eggar partner appointed to head PLA

Thomas Eggar partner Jacqui Joyce has been elected chairman of the Property Litigation Association (PLA).

Joyce, an expert in property disputes, was previously chair of the PLA’s Law Reform Committee.

The PLA has almost a thousand members, who specialise in all aspects of property litigation, including commercial, residential and agricultural property law.

Fellow real estate partner Ruth Boulton was recently appointed to the committee of the newly formed Commercial Real Estate Legal Association (CRELA) to chair its practice and procedure subcommittee.

Property litigation partner Richard Brown has been appointed as a member of the RICS dilapidations forum steering group.

Commenting on the appointments, managing partner Tony Edwards said: “We are delighted that our partners are closely involved in these committees. This reflects proper recognition for them as leaders in their fields and of Thomas Eggar’s reputation in the property arena.”
