Robert Laurence’s Resolution Property has formed a joint venture with urban regeneration specialist Waterhouse to kickstart the £100m Brewery Square scheme in Dorchester, Dorset. Brewery Square is the redevelopment of the former 11.5-acre Eldridge Pope brewery site as a mixed-use development, comprising more than 600 homes, a 45-bedroom care home and 42 close-care flats, 192,000 sq ft of shops, two hotels, a cinema, arts centre and theatre, and a new train station. Resolution director Nigel Robson said: “Brewery Square is a great opportunity for us to invest in a high-quality UK development in partnership with an experienced and creative development partner.” Andrew Wadsworth, director at Waterhouse, added: “With Resolution on board, we will be pressing ahead with delivery of the next phase.” The developer has completed the first phase of the scheme, which included an NHS health centre and the residential conversion of Eldridge Pope’s former HQ.
