Scott Brownrigg goes green in Buckinghamshire

Architectural agency Scott Brownrigg is taking on the regeneration and design of a 33,000 sq ft eco-mansion in Buckinghamshire.

The design practice, in association with Lamron Developments and the Trustess of Kodak Pension Plan, intends to turn the three-storey building into a carbon-neutral building, complete with 12 bedrooms, garage and stables, a natural swimming lake plus staff accommodation.

According to the group, the project has already been submitted for planning permission and is supported by local residents. The building’s appearance is designed so that it folds into its surroundings and energy will be provided by the buildings own “Solar Energy Farm”, which will incorporate glasshouse solar capture.

The waste bedding and manure from the integrated stabling will also be used by the property feed stock for a bio-mass energy plant.
