Novartis has begun consultations that are likely to lead to its Horsham, West Sussex, factory closing, but the Swiss-based pharmaceuticals firm said it would retain its sites in Grimsby, Liverpool and Dundee.
The news follows Pfizer’s decision in January to shut its research and development centre in Sandwich, Kent.
