Asda takes 50,000 sq ft at Leeds’ Mint

Asda has signed a deal to take up to 50,000 sq ft of offices in Leeds.

The supermarket giant announced today that it has agreed to take the space in the speculative development, The Mint.

Asda already has an HQ in the city, at Asda House, and it is not yet known whether the Mint space is for overflow staff or a new HQ.

Asda will be the first tenant to have been signed for the 115,000 sq ft Mint development. It is expected to sign a 15-year lease at a rent of around £20 per sq ft.

The scheme, which is in Leed’s Holbeck Urban Village, was developed by Deltalord.

The project has also attracted interest from Leeds council.

Colliers International is advising Asda; Savills and AWS are letting agents on The Mint.
