Rolls Royce signs largest office deal in Warwick in three years

Global engineering company Rolls Royce has secured the largest office deal in Warwick for three years.

Rolls Royce has taken half of ING Real Estate Investment Management’s Iceni Centre headquarters building on the Warwick Technology Park.

The firm has signed a 10 year lease, at an undisclosed rent believed to be just under the £17.50 per sq ft. Rolls Royce will move about 140 staff into the building to occupy the first floor, which amounts to 26,000 sq ft. Around 26,000 sq ft remains available to let.

The deal signals an expansion and relocation for Rolls Royce and follows on from the news revealed exclusively in Estates Gazette last month, that it has a requirement for up to 100,000 sq ft in the East Midlands, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire. This deal forms part of that overall requirement.

The Rolls Royce transaction is the largest deal in Warwick since Telent signed for 85,000 sq ft at Opus Land’s Opus 40 business park in Warwick in April 2008.

Wareing & Company and CB Richard Ellis (Birmingham) advised the landlord, while BNP Paribas Real Estate represented Rolls Royce.
