Henderson’s head of property, James Darkins, has been promoted to the fund management group’s board.
Darkins, managing director of global property at Henderson, was one of two promotions to executive director at the company.
He joined Australian insurer AMP in 1998 as head of property in New Zealand before Henderson bought AMP later that year.
Darkins was later appointed head of property for Asia, and then moved to his current, London-based position in 2001.
David Jacob, managing director of Henderson Investment Management and the company’s chief investment officer, has also been promoted to the board.
Kevin Dolan, formerly chief executive of La Fayette Investment Management and chief executive of Bank of Ireland’s asset management division, has been appointed a non-executive director.
After these appointments, Henderson’s board has increased to 10, with four executive directors and six non-executive directors.
