Developer Manor Property Group has submitted a planning application for 676 student apartments in an eight-storey scheme in Manchester.
The development, Manor Point, will be located on Coupland Street, close to the University of Manchester, and is designed by careyjones chapmantolcher.
Manor aims to start on site this summer for completion in 2013.
Manor spokesperson Bill Addy said: “Manor recognises the strategic importance of the Coupland Street site, which is within walking distance of both the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University. In addition, it will create an opportunity to meet the growing demand for high-quality independent student accommodation in the city.”
