Former Advantage West Midlands head Peter Pawsey has been made the inaugural chairman of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership.
Pawsey is the current chairman of Robert West Consulting Engineers and director of Midland Heart.
His 35-year career in property has included the role of director at Tarmac Construction, and he was chairman of Advantage West Midlands’ successful Rural Regeneration Zone for eight years. It has helped to deliver more than £200m of regeneration projects in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire in the past five years.
He was also deputy chair of Business Link West Midlands and has recently joined the board of housing, care and regeneration group Midland Heart.
Mr Pawsey takes up his new role at Worcestershire LEP with immediate effect.
