Langtee revisits Oldham regeneration plans

Merseyside-based developer Langtree has revived plans to regenerate a circa 20-acre area of Oldham, Greater Manchester.

The firm, which was initially selected as Oldham council’s development partner in 2007, put plans on hold during the downturn. It has now signed a strategic partnership agreement with the council, under which it will regenerate the Hollinwood area of Oldham.

The agreement covers four sites in the town, the largest of which covers 10.6 acres on Roman Road.

John Downes, managing director at Langtree, said: “Ever since our appointment as preferred development partner, we have remained committed to delivering social and economic regeneration in Hollinwood. Signing this agreement marks the next stage in our journey to achieving that goal.”
