Proposals for a £12m 254-bed Edinburgh student house have been submitted and put out to tender.
The 68,824 sq ft Holyrood South building, on the corner of Viewcraig Gardens, includes 46 apartments, a launderette and a student common room, to serve postgraduate students from Edinburgh University.
Richard Murphy Architects, who submitted the plans on behalf of the university to the City of Edinburgh Council, said: “We are now in negotiations with developers looking to fund the project.”
The property is expected to be ready for use by August 2012.
