Tesco has been granted planning permission for a 65,000 sq ft store in Derby, as well as a petrol station and market.
The retailer intends to regenerate the Allenton Market site on Osmaston Road, and develop a supermarket, a market with space for 69 stalls, a petrol station, and a delivery yard.
Plans have now been approved by Derby City council, three months after it asked Tesco to submit more ideas for minimising congestion around the site.
