Land Securities and British Land have signed up three restaurant operators at their Bon Accord shopping centre in Aberdeen.
Restaurant chain Di Maggio’s has confirmed a 15-year lease on 4,200 sq ft; Pret A Manger has taken a 10-year lease on a 2,800 sq ft store; and Café Rouge has agreed a 10-year lease on 2,400 sq ft. All three operators will be making their debut in the city.
Katherine Armstead of Land Securities said: “I have no doubt shoppers will be excited to hear that these names are coming in. This is yet another piece of good news for the shopping centre, and is part of a £8m improvement programme currently underway in the centre to give it a sleek and modern new look.”
Jonathan Havenhand, acquisitions manager for Café Rouge, said: “We are keen to develop the Café Rouge brand further within Scotland – Bon Accord is a real shopping destination and is the perfect fit for our brand.”
FG Burnett represented Scottish Retail Property Limited Partnership, the joint venture between Land Securities and British Land; CB Richard Ellis represented Di Maggio’s; CBRE acted for Pret A Manger; and Cushman & Wakefield advised SRPLP and Café Rouge on its letting.
