JLL to move into former King Sturge Manchester offices

Jones Lang LaSalle’s Manchester team plans to consolidate into the former offices of King Sturge in the city’s One Piccadilly Gardens, following the merger of JLL and King Sturge.

The combined team, numbering about 165 people, will share 16,000 sq ft occupied by the former King Sturge. The firm has no plans to increase the amount of space it occupies in One Piccadilly Gardens.

Before the merger, JLL, with about 55 people, had a smaller Manchester team than King Sturge. Staff will move out of 7,800 sq ft of offices in Chancery Place on Brown Street, which is owned by a private investor. JLL has about eight years to run on its lease and is yet to decide what it will do with the excess space.

One Piccadilly Gardens, originally developed by Argent, was recently sold by a consortium of Irish investors to Europa Capital for £68m at a 6.3% yield.
