Hermes Real Estate Investment Management has agreed a letting to Marks & Spencer at its Crystal Peaks shopping centre in Sheffield.
M&S has taken a 56,000 sq ft shop on a 25-year lease. M&S will begin fitting out its store in late 2011, with opening scheduled for mid-2012.
A 10-year lease has also been agreed with telecommunications giant Hutchison 3G, while leading bookmakers Betfred have signed a lease for 15 years. They join existing occupiers at the centre including Dorothy Perkins, New Look, Next and Sainsbury’s.
Clem Constantine, director of property at M&S, said: “It is further investment from us in Sheffield following the opening of our Ecclesall Road Simply Food store in April and it’s a great location we’ve secured. The store will offer the best of M&S to our customers and will include a full line offer in food, clothing, homeware and gifts.”
