Harworth Estates, the property division of UK Coal, has appointed DTZ and Jones Lang LaSalle to find a development partner for a 3.5m sq ft industrial near Bolton, Greater Manchester.
The developer would partner Harworth Estates on the delivery of manufacturing and distribution space at the Strategic Employment Park at the 200-acre Cutacre, a former mining site, near junction 4 of the M61.
The first phase is expected to be completed during 2013.
Tony O’Keefe, director of DTZ’s industrial and logistics team in Manchester, said: “The importance of the site cannot be underestimated. Cutacre has the potential to be the most significant scheme in the region, going a long way to redress the supply imbalance of industrial stock in the north west of England.”
