Christie + Co has been instructed to sell the five-star Radisson Edwardian hotel in Manchester city centre on behalf of administrator Grant Thornton.
Les Ross and Matt Dunham of Grant Thornton were appointed as administrators of the hotel’s landlord, Free Trade Hall Hotel, in August. It is understood that Christie + Co is seeking bids of around £40m.
The 263-bedroom hotel, which is located on the site of Manchester’s historic Free Trade Hall, has a long-term management contract in place with Radisson Edwardian Group.
Jeremy Jones, director of corporate hotels at Christie + Co, said: “We expect there to be significant interest from a variety of local and national investors. Radisson Edwardian continues to manage this profitable and robust business and there will be no disruption to guest services or staff as a result of the sales process.”
