Thomas Cook has announced plans for 24 store closures across the UK.
The travel agency said that 22 of the closures were owing to leases expiring, and two were stores that were loss-making.
Thomas Cook, which has 750 outlets, has made no secret about the fact that it has been reviewing store numbers.
Last month its merger with Co-operative Travel was approved, which will make it Britain’s biggest chain of travel agents on the high street.
