Meller bags £2.3m in Cheshire


 


Strong demand for well-priced residential stock with potential to add value helped Meller Braggins’ to raise £2.3m at its 7 October auction.


Some 14 of 16 lots traded hands at Cottons Hotel in Knutsford, Cheshire, reflecting an 88% success rate.


Auctioneer Rodney Jennings said: “We had a very busy room and motivated buyers and sellers, which led to a very strong result and some individual prices that were well above guides.”


Mode Cottage, a two-bedroom house with workshop and a separate garage in Mobberly, near Knutsford, offered at a guide of £300,000, sold for £371,000.
