Floor cleaner giant Vax has struck a deal with Nurton Developments to house its UK head office operation at Nurton’s Two Colmore Square office block in Birmingham.
Nurton Development beat strong competition from rival city centre schemes including Carlyle Group’s Colmore Plaza to land the head office operation for Vax.
The company has taken the 21,000 sq ft fifth floor on a 10-year lease with a break after five years, at a rent of £23.50 per sq ft.
Nurton’s development director Rupert Young said: “No letting is easy in the current conditions. Even though we hoped we were top of their short list, we didn’t take anything for granted.”
The deal took three weeks from the first inquiry until heads of terms were agreed.
GVA and CBRE are letting agents for the scheme; Harris Lamb advised Vax.
