BlackRock boosts real estate team

Investment manager BlackRock has appointed former Telereal Trillium director Paul Tebbit to its UK real estate team.

Tebbit will take a leading role in managing BlackRock’s strategic joint venture investments, as well as sourcing new opportunities for the UK Property Fund.

He will report to Jeff Morton, head of investment and managing director in BlackRock’s real estate team.

Morton said: “Paul has significant property investment and finance experience. He brings first-rate property analysis and investment skills required to consistently deliver strong returns for our investors.”

Most recently, Tebbit was a director at Telereal Trillium, part of the William Pears Group, and specialised in the origination of real estate and corporate investment opportunities, debt raising, valuation and transaction structuring.

Before joining Telereal Trillium in 2008, he was an acquisitions manager at Wesgroup Properties in Vancouver, Canada.
