Schuh to increase London footprint

Footwear retailer Schuh has appointed Harper Dennis Hobbs to expand its presence within London.

The chain, owned by US footwear giant Genesco, has tasked HDH with finding stores in the central and Greater London area to fill in gaps where the retailer feels it is under represented.

Schuh, which has this year celebrated its 30th birthday, has most recently opened in Westfield’s Stratford City, E15, and is now looking at key locations including Regent Street, W1, Knightsbridge, SW7, Victoria, SW1, and Brent Cross, NW11, as well as a number of key surburban towns.

HDH director Tim Newman said: “Schuh is a highly successful multi-brand footwear concept that stocks more than 90 well-known and emerging footwear brands within its stores, and it is very complementary to the leading fashion brands trading in the UK. We are thrilled to be able to help them with their expansion within the capital.”
