Proposals for 221 homes by Lovell and First Wessex in Southampton have secured planning permission.
Part of a £30m council estate regeneration scheme, the homes will be a mixture of affordable rent and private sale properties.
Some 125 homes and four shops will be built at Exford Avenue shopping parade, Harefield; 63 at 5-92 Laxton Close, Sholing; and 33 at 222-252 Meggeson Avenue, Townhill.
The developments form part of Southampton city council’s plans to transform estates across the city using £3m provided by the Partnership for Urban South Hampshire, as well as funding from the Homes and Communities Agency.
