Harrods latest in wave of Hammersmith owner-occupier deals

Luxury goods retailer Harrods has completed the purchase of 68-72 Hammersmith Road, W14, for £38m.

Harrods has been in lengthy discussions for the 120,000 sq ft of offices, and will now occupy the property. Rents at the site have gone for £32.50 per sq ft previously.

Hanover Green and Strutt & Parker acted for landlord Stockland on 68 Hammersmith Road. Strutt & Parker advised Stockland on 72 Hammersmith Road. Harrods was not represented.

The deal is the latest in a wave of owner-occupiers acquiring freeholds in Hammersmith.

Disney sold 26,000 sq ft at its 1 Hammersmith Broadway site to IT business Agilisys for £7.7m, and Gems Education took 135,000 sq ft at CBRE Investor’s Thames Tower and Landmark House for £33m.
