SP Setia is prepared to let the banks take control of the derelict south-west London site before considering a new bid. Lenders Lloyds Banking Group and Ireland’s National Asset Management Agency are keen to explore Chelsea Football Club’s proposals to buy the site for a new stadium but Wandsworth council, which wants the site to be a new town centre, is expected to reiterate its opposition this week. The Sunday Telegraph says Berkeley Group could explore a deal.
