Barnet council has unveiled the first image from its £15.8m new schools plan.
The north London borough is preparing to submit a planning application to relocate the existing Orion primary school in Colindale and build a larger building on a new site.
The project is one of a number of new schools and expansions to existing properties that the council is planning to cater for rising pupil numbers.
If granted approval, the school plans will costs £15.8m, which is being met through a mixture of government grant and council funding.
Andrew Harper, council cabinet member for education, children and families, said: “Over the last few years Barnet has experienced an unprecedented demand for primary school places. The Orion school project is therefore an important step in helping the council to provide a primary school place for every applicant.”
