CBRE puts Research in Motion

Blackberry manufacturer Research in Motion has launched a search for a new 120,000 sq ft European HQ in the Thames Valley.

Canada-based RIM is keen to consolidate its UK staff into a single office building, and is considering both new-build and existing properties for its requirement.

The group occupies Threadneedle’s 78,000 sq ft Thames Valley Court complex on Bath Road in Slough, Berkshire, and 70,000 sq ft next door at SEGRO’s 200 Bath Road. Leases on the two properties expire in 2015.

CBRE is advising RIM.
