The Mansion Group has bought 75-bed student housing block Janet Poole House, Gower Street, WC1, for £7.7m – a yield of 6%.
The building is opposite University College London.
Knight Frank advised the vendor Acorn Management Group; the Mansion Group was not represented.
Invetsors are attracted to the student accomodation sector owing to steady rental growth in the sector. In central London, student rents in the private sector have jumped to £282 per week according to recent research.
