Trebor appoints Whitehouse

Birmingham-based developer Trebor Developments has expanded its team with the appointment of Richard Whitehouse.

Whitehouse joins as development director and will be based at Trebor’s Longbridge head office. He has spent the past 10 years as a director at Shepherd Developments and prior to that held senior positions at Miller Developments and CBRE as an industrial agent.

Bob Tattrie, managing partner for Trebor Developments, said: “Richard’s experience and track record will assist us in expanding our development pipeline of projects and allow us to convert new deals quickly.”

Trebor, backed by Hortons Estate, is working on major projects across the UK, including two large projects in Birmingham. The duo is working up a revised scheme for the redevelopment of the 1890s-built Grand Hotel in the Colmore Row area, which will see the building transformed into a new flagship three- to four-star hotel.

Hortons and Trebor are also preferred developers for the 40,000 sq ft prelet for the Birmingham Assay Office, which is to be rehoused at St Georges Partnership’s Kettleworks site in the Jewellery Quarter. The prelet kick-starts development at the scheme. Subject to planning, work will start on site this spring, with completion in mid-2013.
