Natixis arm to relaunch as Captiva

Natixis’s subsidiary Natixis Capital Partners has become fully independent and will operate as Captiva Capital Management starting from 1 March.

The real estate investment specialist has concluded a management buy-out after its team worked together for the past ten years. Captiva has so far invested €1.3bn of equity in property on behalf of its institutional clients.

The new fund manager has appointed its founders John van Oost, Daniel Quai and Roger Lee as managing directors along with Stephan Fritsch. They will lead a 30-strong team with offices in London, Hamburg, Paris, Milan and Luxembourg.

Captiva is regulated by the UK Financial Services Authority.

“First and foremost, we are investors with a strict focus on investment performance,” says Van Oost. “We concentrate on selecting the right investment at the right time with the right level of risk, in Europe’s core markets.”
