Top property bosses are among 40 signatories to a letter appealing to the government to build a new Heathrow runway.
The Sunday Times says they include Francis Salway, chief executive of Land Securities, Chris Grigg, chief executive of British Land and property developers Irvine Sellar and George Iacobescu. The Sunday Telegraph reports 70 British business leaders and groups representing hundreds of others have signed an open letter it has published. A comment piece in The Independent on Sunday says BAA is right to air its ire over the sell-off of Stansted that the Competition Commission has ordered. The comment comes in the wake of BAA parent Ferrovial’s decision to launch yet another legal challenge.
