Silvertown Quays developer named this month

MIPIM 2012: A decision on the preferred developer for Silvertown Quays in east London will be made by the end of the month, Newham council this morning confirmed at MIPIM.

The council said it had still not reached a decision on whether Chelsfield, Delancey or St George would undertake the residential-led scheme, which forms part of the LDA’s plans to transform the 22-acre Royal Docks site.

Clive Dutton, Newham’s executive director, regeneration, planning and policy, said: “A year ago we talked about the procurement process for the Royal Docks, so swift progress has been made. The three large bids are incredibly powerful ones and we are still going through the final shortlist.”
