A major row could erupt over the appointment of preferred development partner for the Whitgift shopping centre, in Croydon.
Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) and Irish Bank Resolution Corporation, the leasehold owners of the Whitgift shopping centre, have shortlisted Grosvenor, Lend Lease, Hammerson and Westfield and they will find out this week which of them has been chosen. However, freehold owner the Whitgift Foundation said last year it would work with Westfield. Now a major row is risked over the site’s future if the leasehold owners choose a partner other than Westfield.
