Clarendon makes way for H&M

Lothbury Investments has reshuffled tenants at its Claredon Centre mall in Oxford to make way for a 38,000 sq ft H&M store.

The investor has relocated Currys to a vacant 7,500 sq ft store at the shopping centre and will move H&M into the former Currys store, adding extra space for the fashion chain.

Currys will pay an annual rent of £295,000 on its new store, while H&M will pay around £650,000 pa. Both retailers have signed 10-year deals. H&M has a break at year seven.

Morgan Williams and Jones Lang LaSalle advised Lothbury; Kitchen La Frenais Morgan acted for H&M; CBRE advised Currys.
