Bucklebury parish council has voted against Kate Middleton’s parents’ plans to extend their £1.5m Berkshire home.
Councillors rejected the annexe in the grounds of Carole and Michael Middleton’s Oak Acre country home because they said the scheme was excessive and constituted “overdevelopment”. The council has lodged a formal objection to the plan with West Berkshire council which has the final say. Elsewhere, cookery guru Nigella Lawson and her husband, Charles Saatchi, the former advertising mogul, are in the process of selling their £35m Eton Square home in central London.
